Aspen regeneration is a key element to getting balance back into a forest. Aspens consume 20% less water than most conifers and more importantly open up the forest floor to snowfall, light and water. Overly mature aspen do not stave off conifer encroachment as much as younger stands of trees. Regeneration can promote the development of healthy undergrowth providing food and shelter to a variety of forest dwelling creatures. Our patented removal system works above the ground to apply the right kind of pressure to “root ball” the mature trees while leaving sapling aspens and root systems intact.
